A consumer unit is the "fuse box" which goes between the electricity meter and all the electrical circuits in the home. Modern units do not contain fuses, but MCBs. Modern consumer units can also contain other devices such as time switches and door-bell transformers, which are fitted in a modular fashion. Do you still have old fuse wire fuse box installed? If so, replacing this can make your property much safer. We can offer any electrical work needed within Consumer Units and arrange suitable hours to avoid your business or productivity being affected.

Fuse box repair
You can lose power to your home for several reasons from a planned interruption from your supplier or a fault with your wiring or an electrical appliance. If you lose power but you are not aware of a planned interruption and your neighbours seem to have power then you may well have tripped the system. As with handling any electrical equipment, do not attempt to fix something if you are not confident of how it works of exactly what action you need to take. Please call Emergency Electrician, and we will fix it for you.
A spur is a radial circuit taken from a ring main, usually to feed a fixed piece of equipment. It is normally protected by a fused connection unit (what most people call a fused spur but the spur is the actual circuit). We can diagnose problems with fused spurs and fix them.
